Scenes & Sightings: Over-the-top Atwater Village dining nook

ATWATER VILLAGE — The Eastsider stopped by an  Atwater Village open house on Sunday and saw this over-the-top built-in dining nook in the back house on the property. But the best part is the carving at the edge of the table (photo below). Anyone see this before?

  1. This is so bizarre seeing this on Eastsider. Used to live in this place about 3 years ago. Had many a meal in this nook!

  2. I think I’ve seen a sketch very similar in style… somewhere highlighting all the visitors who would sign the Guest books at Charles Fletcher Lummis’ home (El Alisal) way back when…. might be some now famous or well-regarded artist. What a great find!
