Echo Park burglar hits McDuff Street

ECHO PARK — A burglar made off with a bike from a house on McDuff Street on Wednesday night while the owner was still at home. The resident reported the crime, which took place at about 9 p.m.,  to the Northeast Division and shared details of the burglary:

Neighbors should be on alert, as this was a ballsy crime — I was home at the time and the culprit went into our porch and stole the item (just a bike, but that’s the only valuable that was available) from under my nose. Meaning they watched the house to know when I was in a different section/away from the back.

The woman advises that neighbors in the area should keep their doors locked to be on the safe side.
