The Easter Bunny had to compete for the kids’ attention during Saturday’s “Spring Eggstravaganza” at the Ramona Community Center next to Sycamore Park. Kids splashed in soap bubble pools, jumped around in a bouncer house, ate sandwiches, drank sodas and dipped marshmallow peeps into a chocolate fountain, which was organized by the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council in collaborated with the Ramona Hall Community Center. There was an egg hunt, of course.
“There was an egg hunt that was more of an egg scramble: plastic eggs were scattered on the lawn and children ran to scoop them up as fast as they could, hoping to grab the one containing a “golden ticket” to win a basket of prizes,” said Martha Benedict, who took photos of the event. “The preschoolers sang and the folkloric dancers performed.”
