Echo Park palm trees torched during 4th of July fireworks

ECHO PARK — Looks like two palm trees caught fire tonight in Echo Park amid the barrage of illegal fireworks that lit up the sky. One tree appeared to be located at Echo Park Lake, the other nearby, judging by photos and videos posted on Twitter and Instagram. At what point does 4th of July fun becomes arson?
