  • A man was arrested for assaulting a firefighter Wednesday night as he was directing traffic outside the Echo Park firehouse on Sunset Boulevard, reports City News Service/Daily News. The firefighter was not injured during the incident.
  • Two artists are seeking to raise $25,000 to restore a nearly 20-year-old Highland Park mural – Mexico-Tenochtitlan: A Sequence of Time and Culture  – that has been vandalized over the years, reports EGP News.
  • The East L.A. man who was fatally stabbed earlier this week was involved in an argument over property, reports EGP News. The suspect suffered critical injuries during the argument.
