Lost in Garvanza: A Calico cat

eastside animals button small
Hi. My name is Isabel. On November 21st our cat ran away… 2 days after we left for our honeymoon. She has yet to return home BUT there have been sightings. Despite blanketing the city, we still haven’t found her.

We miss her very much and want her back. I believe that she is in someone home, further away from normal, or just lost. She’s savvy and is street smart. What can we do to have you post her flyer? We live in the Garvanza District of Highland Park. Please help!

  1. This happened to my cat last year — luckily we found him, and I hope you find yours too.

It bears mentioning, though: keep your cats indoors. There are lots of coyotes on the east side and despite feline objections, it’s much safer to keep your cats safe inside the house.

    Good luck finding her!

  2. I’d suggest looking on school grounds. When I went away for a week, I left my cat over at my moms. She escaped into an environment that she was unfamiliar with. She traveled a mile to a high school where she could be safe. They’re large properties without dogs. Put signs up around local school. Mine was gone for ten days. Thought I’d never see her again, but a kid read the sign and remembered the cat.

Good luck to you and your calico
