MOrning Report

  • The LAPD identified the officer involved in last week’s shooting in Los Feliz that left an unarmed man in critical condition. Cairo Palacios, who has worked for the LAPD since 2013, shot Walter William DeLeon, who officers said walked “aggressively” in their direction with what they believed to be a gun hidden under a towel or cloth.  The family of DeLeon, who remains in critical condition, has refuted the LAPD’s version of events. 1. What does the photo have to do with any of those stories??

  2. I love that the photos on the EastsiderLA are random celebrations of the diversity of our neighborhood. Great photo. I think that might be the Lithuanian church across from Marshal.

  3. Good luck to you Nathan. I love your descriptive writing and your apparent love of the Northeast!

    • Thanks Katrina. I’ll miss the area and writing for The Eastsider, but since my family is here I hope to return one day a better reporter.

  4. Why is there a guy hanging on the wall of that building? It seems cruel.
