Eastside Weekend: Model railroad open house chugs into El Sereno; find out how How Love Lasts; Echo Park gets a taste of Future Tongue

This weekend will find model railroad fans heading to El Sereno as the Pasadena Model Railroad Club holds its fall open house. Other weekend goings on include an Eagle Rock play that asks the question “How Does Love Last?” and an arts collective called Future Tongue holds its first gallery exhibit, a group show that includes the work of Chicano performance artist Harry Gamboa Jr.

Halloween and Día de los Muertos events overlap this weekend, with a kid-friendly haunted house in Echo Park, a Dance of the Druids Halloween costume party and fundraiser in Eagle Rock and Day of the Dead celebrations and vigils on Figueroa Street and Calvary Cemetery in East L.A.
