The lines this afternoon were longer – much, much longer – than usual at the Original Tommy’s at the corner of Beverly and Rampart boulevards. What was the occasion? The burger stand was celebrating its 70th anniversary with a 70-cent burger and soda special.
Eastsider reader Sandy Driscoll snapped photos of the lines that curled around the block. “Even caught a couple of Elvis impersonators, one of whom looks like he’s
had more than a few burgers,” Driscoll said.
The anniversary special expires at midnight.

F that! I’d rather pay 5 bucks for a burger elsewhere than wait in that long ass line.
