2017 L.A. City Council Elections

Eastside voters will cast their ballots during a March 7 primary election in Council Districts 1 and 13. The general election is scheduled on May 16. Go to the links below for a full list of candidates, election events, news and information.

Council District 1

Three candidates are running against incumbent Gil Cedillo in the race to represent Council District 1, which includes all or portions of Angeleno Heights, Cypress Park, Echo Park, Glassell Park, Highland Park, Lincoln Heights, Mount Washington

Council District 13

Five candidates are running against incumbent Mitch O’Farrell in the race to represent Council District 13, which includes all or portions of Atwater Village, Echo Park, Elysian Heights, Elysian Valley and Silver Lake.
