LOS FELIZ — Police this morning are looking for the gunman who fatally shot a clerk during an attempted robbery of a Chevron gas station.
The shooting took place at about 5:25 a.m. after the suspect entered the gas station convenience store at the corner of Los Feliz Boulevard and Vermont Avenue and fired several rounds during the holdup, said LAPD spokesman Aareon Jefferson. The clerk died after being taken to a hospital.
The suspect is described as a male black between the ages of 20 to 25. No further details were available.
