Shopper & Diner: Cop cafe reopens; Burgerlords roams into Highland Park; Silver Lake’s Fat Dragon in full force; unsung pies of Eagle Rock

Feel the LAPD vibe at the Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Café in Elysian Park. The café received a revamp since its closure in 2014 and officially opened on January 3, Eater LA reports.

With black-and-white photographs and memorabilia hanging on the walls, the café pays homage to the LAPD of yesteryear. Tucked away on the ground of the Los Angeles Police Academy, look for the rocky façade by the staircase past the security station. Breakfast is served all day, and lunch begins at 10 a.m. Open to the public from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays. Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Club Café is located in the 1800 block of Academy Drive in Elysian Park.
