Elysian Heights trash truck rescue

ELYSIAN HEIGHTS — Heavy-duty tow trucks were called in this morning after a city sanitation truck became stuck on the embankment off a narrow, hillside street near Elysian Park.

The green sanitation truck was perched and leaning at the top of a steep slope on Duane Street near Park Drive.  Scott Barber took shots before the tow trucks arrived while Robin Blackman  sent in photos of  workers preparing to pull the stranded sanitation truck off the hillside.
