Three persons shot in Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK  — Police are searching for a suspect who is believed responsible for shooting three people tonight, according to preliminary reports.

The shooting took place at about 9:39 pm in the 4900 block of Oak Terrace Drive, said LAPD spokesman Drake Madison.

The condition of the victims is unknown but two have been transported from the scene for medical treatment, he said.  It’s not clear what prompted the shooting.

Police are looking for a Latino male in connection with the shooting. Residents say police helicopters have been hovering over the neighborhood as part of the search.
