  • A 21-year-old male was taken to a hospital and arson investigators were called in after a fire broke out Tuesday night in a Lincoln Heights home. The fire in the 2800 block of Griffin Avenue was put out in about 30 minutes. LAFD
  • Members of LADWP’s largest union would receive six raises within five years under a proposal backed by Mayor Eric Garcetti. The raises — which could total more than 22% — are designed in part to retain linemen and other workers who have been leaving the agency for higher paying jobs at other utilities, says LADWP. However, one activist described the proposed hike as “just one more union giveaway.” L.A. Times
