Eastside Cloud Watch: A silver lining on a hot and miserable day

SILVER LAKE — It was another day of triple-digit heat and high humidity across much of Los Angeles. But at least the tropical-like weather has made for some great cloud watching as well as some dramatic sunsets and sunrises. Dan Gershon of Silver Lake took this shot late this afternoon after a day when the temperature topped 100 degrees in his neighborhood.
