- Authorities will be prevented from enforcing a gang injunction against one Echo Park man who has denied being a gang-member. A federal judge said that Peter Arellano, who is part of a civil rights lawsuit challenging city gang injunctions, “is likely to establish that the city did not provide him with due process in enforcing the injunction against him.” L.A. Times
- The City Council on Thursday approved a motion to have the intersection of Figueroa Street and Avenue 41 in Highland Park named in honor of Robert Anthony Brown, a gay man whose 1983 murder gave rise to a Northeast L.A. gay rights group.
