Eagle Rock professor nominated for Grammy Awards; Boyle Heights council to consider Whittier Boulevard speed hump

Grammy Nominee: Adam Schoenberg, an assistant professor of music at Occidental College in Eagle Rock, has been nominated for two Grammy Awards for his work in classical music. Schoenberg’s Picture Studies was nominated for Best Contemporary Classical Composition, and an album of his music was nominated for Best Engineered Album, Classical. Occidental College

Speed Hump: The Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council will review a proposal to request the city install a speed hump at Whittier Boulevard and Orme Avenue to slow down traffic and discourage street racing. BHNC
