ATWATER VILLAGE – The old site of The Little Knittery — home of the Pussy Hat — has given way to the neighborhood’s newest caffeine option – Black Elephant Coffee.
The new java stop on Glendale Boulevard also offers quick salads, sandwiches and wifi, according to LA Eater.
Coffee beans are from Stumptown and pastries and desserts originate from Bread Lounge and Cake Monkey, ABC 7 reports.
ABC 7 also said that a percentage of sales at Black Elephant, whose owners also operate Simply Coffee in Burbank, will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund.
Black Elephant Coffee is at 3195 Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village. The Little Knittery yarn shop relocated to 1808 N Vermont Ave. in Los Feliz.

Great, ANOTHER coffee shop…there are 4 other coffee options on the same block!
Give us something more practical, like a water station.
We had one right around that spot but they were forced out by the greedy landlords!
terrible. little knittery had charm and history, this is cookie cutter coffee. we need a grocery store in the neighborhood.
The article should mention that the Little Knittery has a location on Vermont.
Yes, we do mention the location at the end of the story.
Should at least paid tribute by calling it Pussy Hat Java Hut
