Cyclists and pedestrians may have seen the signs, but it’s worth noting that a section of the L.A. River Path north of Los Feliz Boulevard will be closed beginning Sunday, April 15 for six months.
The closure and detour through Griffith Park were required by officials as work begins on a $16-million bridge that will span the L.A. River, linking North Atwater Village and Griffith Park with a span that will be open only to pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists.
The path is expected to reopen on Oct 15.
