New school chief talks continue; Moby sells Los Feliz home for $4.91 million; 60 Freeway crash

School Chief: It looked like L.A. investment banker Austin Beutner had lined up a majority of votes on the L.A. school board to be named the district’s new superintendent. But after more than five hours of closed-door deliberations, the board members took a recess and made no decision. They are scheduled to resume deliberations on May 1. L.A. Times

Moby: Electronic music artist Moby sold one of his Los Feliz homes for $4.91 million. The 5-bedroom English Traditional-style home in the 5500 block of Red Oak Drive sold below asking but more than $1.5 million above what Moby paid two years ago. L.A. Times

Crash: One man was left in critical condition after two vehicles collided this morning on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Lorena Street in Boyle Heights. The man was taken to a hospital after being extricated from the vehicle. Two other persons were examined by paramedics but declined to be taken to a hospital. LAFD
