Get ready to move your cars and make way for the L.A. Marathon

The thousands of runners expected to pour through the streets of Angeleno Heights, Echo Park and Silver Lake on Sunday for the 2015 L.A. Marathon have been warned to expect record-high temperatures. Meanwhile, residents, motorists and bus passengers, have to prepare themselves for the annual round of street closures, detours and delays.

Watch out for falling drones

ANGELENO HEIGHTS -- The Eastsider has posted several aerial videos shot by camera-equipped drones buzzing above Echo Park and Boyle Heights. Now, we got a video of a drone plunging to earth, crashing on an Angeleno Heights street.

Even the city-issued signs disagree about the correct spelling of the Victorian-era neighborhood next to Echo Park.
