Is good publicity killing the chefs of Echo Park?

First, skateboarding wonder chef Josef Centeno rode into his job at Echo Park’s new Lot One with plenty of publicity in tow. But Centeno quickly departed after only a few weeks, taking his recipe for Bacos and foodie fans with him. Now, the fate of another Echo Park chef, Alex Eusebio of Restaurant 15, is in question after he also made headlines (or at least blog posts).

Eusebio has been identified as one of the contestants in this season’s popular Top Chef show on the Food Network. Eusebio may have made the cut at Top Chef but it’s not clear whether he will still be involved in Restaurant 15, which is changing ownership and its name to the Allston Yacht Club. Maybe its time for Eusebio to take some skateboarding lessons from Centeno and search for a new kitchen.
