Is the Eagle Rock Plaza the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of malls?

It’s kind of hard to get excited about a trip to the Eagle Rock Plaza, even with a two-story Target and an Asian seafood market. A recent visitor to the mall failed find much holiday cheer:

“I headed to Eagle Rock to the Eagle Rock Plaza. Big mistake,” writes the blogger behind The Lyrics of Life. “I began to feel lonely in that sad mall playing holiday music. It felt like the half assed mall I used to work in back in Oregon in high school. And I mean it felt like a time capsule from that time in addition to feeling pathetic. Maybe it was just me. But I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.”

  1. That’s really for the most part just a convenience shopping center. If You want the Holiday Cheer, You’re best bet is to go about 1 mile down Colorado Street towards Glendale and hit up the Glendale Galleria & The Americana Shopping Center. That’s where You go for the experience and environment. Eagle Rock is mostly just go in to get what You want or need to avoid mass traffic, and get out! Keep in mind that You will see a lot more people in Glendale, especially during the holidays! Even though it seems boring and dead, the Eagle Rock Plaza is a big convenience considering the neighbor towns do not have their own shopping center, not even boring dead malls. (Cypress Park, Lincoln Heights, Highland Park, El Sereno) Eagle Rock being one of the closest for us, Glendale being the next closest. However, Eagle Rock is a thousand times more convenient! Especially if You’re in a rush and its holiday season!
