What do Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bob Baker’s marrionettes have in common?

They are all on the front page of today’s national edition of the New York Times (in separate stories, of course). The lengthy story provides more details and history about the struggling puppet theater at the south end of Echo Park, describing founder Bob Baker, 84, as “a rather unheralded Hollywood legend, with an uncertain future.” Baker says he’s not giving up:

“We have all kinds of problems that have cropped up recently. But we are not going to close. We’re going to fight this out to the very bitter end.”
