An Echo Park wine that has them howling for more

City winemakers Joe and Heather D’Augustine have learned a lot after years of tending to a vineyard in their Echo Park yard. But none of their experience prepared them for an unexpected, four-legged pest, according to a story in the Garment & Citizen:

“They’ve fought off some challenges along the way, including the loss of a significant portion of the grape crop last year to coyotes, who ate up all of the low-hanging fruit they could reach.”

Who knew coyotes were partial to syrah?
