Hey, that’s no kitty

The wildlife in Echo Park – and we are not talking about the crowds during Margarita Wednesday’s at Barragan’s – is getting wilder. At least two residents have spotted what looks like a bob cat wandering the hills and streets, according to a posting on the Echo Elysian Forum.

“Just got back from walking the dog in Elysian Park and
looked down in the vacant field behind our house (between Sargent and
Palmer). Have seen a number of coyotes that hang out there and thought
what I was seeing was one – it was not. Similar color but definitely a
feline – too small for a mountain lion but about 4 times larger than a
house cat and the coloring wasn’t right, so I’m thinking Bob Cat –
never seen one down there before but than haven’t seen the coyotes for
a few days – maybe that’s why!”
