Eastside Crime Watch

The LAPD’s online crime map is still running a bit slow but much faster than last week. So, with the help of EveryBlock, here’s the Eastside Crime Watch for the week ending Sunday, May 10.

Echo Park & Silver Lake (90026)
Happy Mother’s Day! Your car has been stolen. There were five reports of grand theft auto and thefts from vehicles reported on Sunday, May 10. Cinco de Mayo was also another bad holiday for Echo Park and Silver Lake vehicle owners, with another four auto related vehicle crimes reported. A total of 28 crimes were reported during the week.

Lincoln Heights & Montecito Heights (90031)
A total of 10 crimes, with most of them auto related in Lincoln Heights.

El Sereno & Monterey Hills (90032)
Four crimes reported, with a theft and violent robbery reported on Gambier Street.

Boyle Heights (90033)
The streets north and south of Evergreen Cemetery were the scene of two grand theft autos and two thefts from vehicles. A total of 18 crimes were reported.

Atwater Village & Silver Lake (90039)
Six crimes were reported.

Eagle Rock (90041)
Three crimes reported, including a burglary on Oak Tree Drive.

Highland Park (90042)
A bad week for Ash Street, with two aggravated assaults and a burglary reported over several days. 14 total crimes reported.

Cypress Park, Glassell Park & Mt. Washington (90065)
Nine crimes
, with two burglaries on Figueroa near Pasadena Avenue.
