Water dropping helicopters fight Montecito Heights brush fire

A small brush fire broke out Saturday at about 6 pm and scorched a hillside near homes. The thick black smoke had cleared but helicopters flying in from the west continued to douse the the charred hillside Some details from the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Twitter feed:

There is plenty of dry brush in the hills to worry residents in the months ahead.
