Real Echo Park crime is not good enough for Hollywood

Only hours before police searched the hills of Echo Park in search of a suspect armed with a gun, residents along Cerro Gordo Street near Elysian Park were notified that a Hollywood production company was seeking permission to stage a mock gun battle in the park:

“NCIS LA” is proposing to shoot in Elysian Park, by the horse corral,” according to a post on the Echo Elysian Forum. “They propose to do audible gunfire. Many neighbors worked for over a year to develop EP Filming Guidelines, and it reccomends“non” guns be used. We are “Echo” Park for a reason. sound carries.”

Good thing they were not shooting that episode last night.
