Urban lumberjacks at work

A Caltrans crew worked for several hours to slice up and clear away an approximately 70-foot-tall eucalyptus tree that fell across the entrance to the 2 Freeway in Echo Park in the pre-dawn morning hours. The 30-inch wide trunk was cut up into approximately four-inch thick slices by workers trying to clean things up in time for the afternoon commute.
