When speed humps are not enough

A small traffic island and some speed humps were installed on Allesandro Street between Glendale Boulevard and Berkeley Avenue in Echo Park a few years ago as part of “traffic calming” measures. At least one resident, however, did not think traffic was calm enough, leading to this spray-painted warning to motorists speeding down the street. Of course, many drivers are probably going too fast to notice.
