Elysian Park Winter Wonderland washed out

L.A. kids may love to play in the snow but apparently not the rain. The same goes for Councilman Ed Reyes, who today decided to take his annual his Winter Wonderland in Elysian Park indoors to shelter about 400 children and staff from the rain, reports LA Now. That left a large patch of artificial snow and a lonely snowman to slowly melt away alone in a parking lot (the photo was taken after the event had ended). Not even the shelter provided by a canopy was enough to keep the rain-averse Angelenos outdoors.
