Less green in Silver Lake

There was a week-long rain delay but a Department of Water Power crew arrived last week to cut down a group of mature trees near Fletcher and Riverside Drives, reports the Corralitas Red Car Property blog. The trees that once shaded a public stairway near Home restaurant were too close to the transmission lines above, the DWP told residents Now, blogger Diane Edwardson wonders if DWP will ever allow trees to be planted for a planned median strip down nearby Riverside Drive.
