How does your neighborhood pot clinic rate?

The city council has taken a month-long break from working on its long-delayed and debated medical marijuana ordinance. Meanwhile, pot clinics have continued to open, including one in Echo Park on Sunset Boulevard, providing customers and patients with even more options to chose from. How is an Eastside medical marijuana consumer to decide where to shop? Apparently, many people are turning to Yelp!, where cannabis clinics are rated and reviewed like beauty spas, sushi bars and auto mechanics. Here’s a sample:

House of Kush, Eagle Rock:

“The $3 hash bar is unbeatable and the location is perfect,
its on the way home from work. parking isn’t always the greatest but if you buy blunts from the tobacco shop across the street you can usually park in there … the staff is nice, and as with all shops once you go enough times and they start to recognize you, they get nicer.”

Mr. Greens Collective, Silver Lake:
“They have an ATM inside if needed, plus a good selection
of accessories everything from cute animal shaped pipes to wrappers and even lighters. They have a happy hour special too. Check it out and love it as much as I do. It’s far from ghetto and just awesome to get a receipt, I always leave with a smile.”

The Hummingbird Collective, Highland Park

“This is the most poor quality (looking) cannabis ive seen
at one time, EVER. it looked like bottom-of-the-bag, late harvest, popcorn nugg crap! quality matters, especially since its being put into your body by means of inhalation or digestion. i didnt want to walk away with nothing, so i chose what i knew to be good. but auhgk… dirty fingers all over my meds! and there’s hardly a price break for larger quantities. i walked out knowing i wouldnt be back.”
