If you ever wondered what happens inside the Olive Motel in Silver Lake …

Then an LAPD press release issued Monday will be of interest. Police arrested two men suspected of selling stolen bikes at the Sunset Boulevard motel on Saturday. Inside one of the bungalows at the Silver Lake motel detectives found a “goldmine” of evidence that indicated the suspects were involved with more than just selling stolen merchandise, said Lt. Paul Vernon in an LAPD press release:

“‘We found the two men were alsobleaching money to counterfeit $100 bills.’ Detectives found several counterfeit bills, a computer and a printer for making money, and evidence of heroin use. Secret Service agents seized a laptop computer, the counterfeit bills and manufacturing materials.”

Police booked one suspect, Edward Rene Arciga, for receiving stolen property. But Arciga may also face additional federal counterfeiting charges as well.
