Save the Date: Dinner at home replaces the Eagle Rock home tour

After hosting a home tour for many years, The Eagle Rock Association will be trying something different this weekend to raise some cash and show off the neighborhood. On Saturday night, the residents of 18 Eagle Rock homes will be hosting dinner parties – featuring everything from a
“pan-Mediterranean feast” to an Indian-inpsired macrobiotic vegetarian meal – to benefit the neighborhood group and its “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” fundraiser. Organizers hope the dinner parties can fill the void left behind by the longstanding Eagle Rock Eclectic Home Tour.

“When we started 10 years ago, home tours were a novelty. But as the years passed, everybody started doing them, creating more competition for a limited audience,” said Rich Puz, TERA board member in a statement. “And, to be honest, we were all just exhausted. Tours may return here someday, but we needed something else to see us through the next few years.”

Some of the “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” dinner parties, which cost $75 a person, are already sold out but most still have seats available. More events in Save the Date.
