Is it brush clearance or an Echo Park art project?

A giant “EP” created out sheets of plastic has taken shape on a grassy Echo Park hillside near Avon and Baxter streets. It looks like the plastic – staked down to the ground and held in place with chunks of concrete – was part of the property owner’s efforts to cut down the brush before the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brush Clearance Unit begins inspecting lots next month.

  1. Interesting. Check out my pic from today. I thought it was kinda strange how they left a piece in the middle. But now seeing this? Either way, I love it!!

  2. those darn gang bangers!

  3. If it had been gang bangers, it would spell out EXP.
