Which way Silver Lake?

East or west? The temporary closure of West Silver Lake Drive at Rowena Avenue that began last month has motorists deciding whether to take a westbound detour (the red line above) or an eastbound detour (in blue). Both directions are funneling traffic along narrow Angus Street (MTA bus riders have also seen their commute change). Westbound motorists face a longer detour – more than a mile – than eastbound drivers and must then navigate through traffic choked Hyperion Avenue. Either way, residents of Angus will be seeing more traffic for at least another three to four months until West Silver Lake Drive is expected to reopen.

  1. i'm in this boat and it SUCKS. i can't wait for this to finish so that i can take my normal route home.

  2. I think if you consider Hyperion to be "traffic choked" you should be thankful you have such a nice commute. It's really not that bad.
