Burglars hit another Elysian Heights home

An afternoon burglary on Park Drive on Monday is the fifth residential break-in to take place so far this month in the Elysian Heights section of Echo Park. The Monday burglary in the 2100 block of Park Drive was described in a comment to an Eastsider story posted on Tuesday and was confirmed by other persons and the LAPD Crime Map. Burglaries have also been reported on Cerro Gordo, Altivo Way and Lake Shore. Most of the crimes have taken place in the day time. “People should take extra precautions and make sure that everything is locked and closed before they leave” home, said Darren Williams, head of a private security company that patrols the neighborhood.
