Suspect spotted in Silver Lake burglary

NeighborhoodWatchLogo.JPGA man returned to his Silver Lake apartment in the 700 block of Hoover Street Wednesday afternoon to find someone else walking out of his front door. The burglar got away but the victim got a good description of the get-away vehicle. Here are the details via  email from LAPD officer Mario Mota from the Rampart Division:

On 06/02/10 at 1230 hours, the victim locked and secured his apartment and went upstairs to work on a unit.  At approximately 1330 hours, the victim was returning to his apartment when he observed a male Hispanic walking out of his apartment.  The male Hispanic ran off, dropped jewelry belonging to the victim and fled in a 01/02 red Dodge Durango SUV northbound on Hoover toward Burns.  Investigation revealed that the suspect pried the front door to the victims apartment.

Suspect: Male Hispanic, blk, bro, 5’8″, 175lbs, 23/27 last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans.
