Elysian Heights school adds kindergarten class

Earlier this year Elysian Heights Elementary Principal Veronica Herrera appealed to Elysian Heights and Echo Park parents to consider sending their kids to the school after L.A. Unified cut one of  Elysian’s two kindergarten classes.  Now, a Friends of Elysian Heights parents says the district has restored the second kindergarten class, and the school is taking applications before classes begin on Sept. 13.
