Open front door makes the job easy Echo Park teen burglars

NeighborhoodWatchLogo.JPGAn Echo Park woman who lives near Montana and Douglas streets stepped into her bedroom for a few minutes shortly after midnight on Monday when she heard noises coming from her living room. She went to find out what was going to find two teenage males, between ages 15 to 20, who ran out of the apartment with her purse, laptop, cellphone and iPod, reports her neighbor, Jose.  The burglars entered the apartment though the front door, which the woman had left open for ventilation.  Jose, who wants to warn other Echo Park neighbors about the incident, describes what he saw from his apartment:
“I peeked through my window after she shouted running after them and I was able to glance quickly before the left on foot towards sunset blvd. One was wearing a black shirt and the other white. Both looked young, no facial hair, short hair, hispanics.”
