Silver Lake succulent mystery solved

Last month Silver Lake blogger Diane Edwardson took a  photograph of a mysterious and kind of creepy succulent growing near her driveway.  She didn’t know what the plant was called. But the staff at the Los Angeles County Arboretumwhich was put on the case by Rose magazine – figured it out and posted the answer in a comment to the original story:

“That bad boy is Snakecreeper or Ceropegia stapeliiformis according to our plant information guy. Very cool and unusual. Must be an interesting yard!”
