A sweat-free way to run the Rock ‘n’ Roll 1/2 marathon

Barricades and signs are popping up across Angeleno Heights, Atwater, Echo Park and Silver Lake in advance of this Sunday’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon. More than 15,000 runners are expected to hit the streets between Griffith Park and downtown Los Angeles. But, if you don’t plan on being one of those 15,000 runners, the four-minute video above will take you on an effortless albeit noisy ride along the course.

  1. I am SO glad you posted this as the church I go to is on Glendale Blvd and access to Sunday services are going to be severely impacted.
It seems the church did not receive any notice of the event so it’s going to be a rush to notify everyone.
    Thanks!

  2. A follow-up:

I notifed laist.com they should link to your post as people I’m talking to don’t know anything about this. I called the people in charge of the Farmers Market (on Glendale Blvd) and they knew nothing about it.
I’ve checked a lot of the Atwater blogs and nothing posted there, left a voicemail for Friends of Atwater to check out your post–
Since there are some really nice people at good businesses on Glendale Blvd, I’m going to call them as well to give them a heads up–
    Again, thank you so much.
