  1. The closure of the southbound 110 this weekend is only part of the story. I went online to the DOT website (as quoted in the ASNC post) and found they list other closures on the 110…NORTHBOUND from Friday 11:01 pm to Saturday 8:01 am and more…
I’ve called and written the woman from DOT who sent out the message but no reply yet…someone else also tried, with no response.
So be prepared not to get where you’re going unless you’re taking city streets.
And a tip: If you take Ave 52 OVER the freeway you’ll come to Griffin which will take you all the way down to Broadway (or further) but you can turn left on Ave 43 which will take you back to Fig, for access either to that area, Mt Washington or Cypress Park or to the 5 south (at Ave 26) 5 north by following Fig to Riverside Drive, and 110 south just past Ave 26.
(the official detour is Figueroa most of the way…which will be congested).

  2. If they try to close the 110, I will just drive on it anyways. Do they really think they can stop me?
