Silver Lake car break-in reported on Maltman Ave.

NeighborhoodWatchLogo.JPGA Silver Lake resident who lives in the 700 block of Maltman Avenue near Ellsworth Street reports that this car was broken into Friday night while it was parked inside his garage.  The thieves broke a car window and took several items from the vehicle as well as a new bike and other items from the garage. The resident said he had reported the crime but still had not heard back from police as of Sunday afternoon.

It was the second theft reported in the 700 block of Maltman Avenue last week, with a theft reported on Wednesday, Nov. 10, according to the L.A. Times crime map.

  1. The police were all at their Northeast Carnival in Glassell Park. My neighbor who lives 3 houses from Eagle Rock Blvd had problems with 10-12 guys drinking alcohol and smoking pot on her stairs. She went to tell the police officers that were there “patrolling” at the carnival and they got defensive with her when she asked for their help.
