Will Michelle Obama put Echo Park statue on her to-do list?

The New York Times this weekend published letters written to First Lady Michelle Obama from students involved with  826, a reading and literacy program with an office in Echo Park.  One of the letter writers, an 11-year-old boy named Andres, made the following requests:

Dear Michelle Obama,

I think your husband should legalize immigration. Please put a statue of me in Echo Park. Thank you. J.K. No, really. I want a tuxedo on the statue.

— ANDRES ORTEGA, age 11, Los Angeles

Echo Park is already home to a Lady of the Lake statue and a bust of Cuban poet and patriot Jose Marti. Will Andres join the club?
