When making holiday doggie treats, don’t forget the peanut butter and red wine

The peanut butter was mixed into the doggie treats; the red wine was for the trio of Echo Park volunteers who last night took over the kitchen at Delilah Bakery to whip up 500 fire hydrant, kitty, and poodle-shaped cookies to be sold this weekend at the Echo Park Animal Alliance Annual Fundraiser at Peter Shire Studio. The cookies, another 300 were baked at Masa of Echo Park, will be stuffed into holiday stockings for a favorite four-legged friend. In addition to peanut-butter flavored cookies, there will also be doggie cookies with cheese. Would those go better with white wine?
