A street artist’s work is never done

The street artist Cache – known for his murals of bike-riding  chickens and other works – has been busy updating some of his work along the retaining walls of Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park and Silver Lake. Blogger and Cache fan Will Campbell snapped the above photo early this morning of  a Silver Lake mural being updated on Sunset Boulevard west of Benton Way.

Here’s a “before” shot of the wall captured via Google Maps.

  1. Is anyone aware of a fire in the canyon near the reservoir? I was walking my dog and saw smoke coming from the northern portion and then saw ashes falling.

  2. I will miss his old wall art of the chickens on bikes since he had my last name on it for some reason….. “valone ride forever”. Would love to ask him what some of it meant…
If he ever reads this please email me: [email protected]

Seriously, I have been wondering for years why my last name has been on a wall for so so so long!?? Maybe it was just a happy conicidence….
